Lucy (AKA. Cooper B. Handy) is a character.
I wasn't aware of his back catalogue before the show, but after a deep dive on Rate Your Music, I am up to date on his releases. Cooper B. Handy has an engaging vocal style - almost the polar opposite of the headliner King Krule.
Watching Lucy's dance moves on stage was one of my favorite parts of the set - with a flowing rubber hose-style movement.
The words, 'Denver, Denver, Denver,' was something I heard 50 times during the set - in culmination with his irregular dance moves.
Overall, it was an odd but engaging performance - right up our alley!
