This was the headliner that most intrigued me about the Badlands (2022) line-up. Marc Rebillet is a YouTuber and electronic music producer who specializes in improvisational live shows.
Marc has a massive YouTube following in which he usually live streams himself, making music from scratch. Each set Marc performs is almost entirely improvised with only short instances of pre-recorded material, making each viewing of a Marc Rebillet performance unique. Additionally, Marc has a signature look in which he is often seen in videos wearing a bathrobe.
Showing up the event I was stunned to see so many of his fans sporting the bathrobe look. The crowd was one of the kindest crowds I've ever experienced as an event photographer. I briefly talked to Marc and his vibes were immaculate - such a genuine celebrity interaction.
I decided to approach this set by documenting a mix of Marc's fans sporting the iconic robe look as well as documenting the live performance.

I ran down next to him with a point-and-shoot film camera to snap some shots of him in the crowd. When you're blind firing a $10 film camera with no manual settings your expectations are not high.
Capturing Marc in the is moment was amazing and I was so stoked to get these shots of him. I can't wait to see more of Marc Rebillet and he far succeeds my expectations!
